Meal Program Updates

The Department of Nutrition Services is committed to providing healthy meals at no charge to anyone age 18 and under, regardless if they attend remote or in-person learning. Below is a summary of upcoming changes that affect MPS meal service.

  • Stop, Grab, and Go locations and weekend meal bundles ended on 4/1/21.
  • In-person and pre-order meals will replace Stop, Grab, and Go meal service.

In-Person Students

  • Students attending inperson school will receive breakfast and lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; pre-ordering is available for Wednesday pick-up.
  • Meal substitutions will be provided to students with Special Dietary Needs forms on file.

Remote Students and Remote Learning Days

  • Preordered meals will be available for pick-up at most MPS schools on school days between 9:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M.
  • Preordered meals will consist of one breakfast, one lunch, two 8 oz milks.
  • Meal orders, including special dietary needs meals, can be placed using the online preorder form.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

The Department of Nutrition Services will continue the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program the first week in April only. Programming will resume in May, with potential changes that reflect remote vs. in-person learning.
